Text Box: Welcome to the Backford and Mollington WEB Site. The site for the Parish of Backford and its constituent villages of Mollington, Backford, Caughall, Chorlton and Lea-by-Backford.
The Parish is a relatively small community, with about 420 homes and a population of 1400 residents. We are a rural community with 15 working farms, tree lined lanes and pleasant grass verges just some 5 minutes from the centre of Chester
There are three independent local parish councils; Backford, Mollington, Lea-by-Backford who on many issues work and pull together, all served by the ecclesiastical parish of Backford PPC . The community is physically partitioned by the A41 Trunk Road.
The area is well served by the Motorway system being minutes from the end of the M56 to Manchester, the M53 to Birkenhead and Liverpool, and the A55 trunk road to North Wales.
Please enjoy navigating through our site and learning about our community
